CAMPONE is Menai Anglican Church’s annual camp for Year 6 to Year 12 students where they can come and have the time of their lives.
Students get to participate in a whole variety of activities such as: waterslide, ‘tribal’ games, capture the flag, safari, hunger games, man-arvo and woman-arvo. Each day students also hear a talk from God’s word and spend in small groups chatting about God, life and the world we live in.
If your son or daughter is hesitant about coming, we can almost guarantee they will have a great time. We work really hard at stamping out any bullying, breaking down cliques and divisions, and encouraging positive relationships. Every year we find that camp is a great place for students to make new friends and be included in a big community.
We have a leadership team of around 60 leaders. All of which have completed the NSW State Government’s Working With Children’s Check and a Safe Ministry course. A number of leaders are first aid qualified. We also have a number of ‘camp parents’ who help balance the ratio of teenagers to adults and provide a more mature perspective.
